Grand Slam Club/Ovis, in partnership with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Climate Change, Forestry, Environment, and Wildlife Department, is pleased to present this special auction opportunity.
In the most recent exportable Kashmir Markhor auction held on October 10th in Pakistan, permits sold for as much as $270,000.

This auction is for ONE (1) NON-EXPORTABLE Kashmir Markhor permit.

This auction has been approved by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife & Biodiversity Board.

Additional Conditions for Trophy Hunting:
•Hunting is permissible ONLY in Protected Areas managed under the community participation program of the Department. Hunting may be conducted in either the Lotkhow River Right Bank Conservancy or the Chitral River Right Bank Conservancy. The government will allocate the area with the best available trophies to the hunter or outfitter at that time.
•In addition to obtaining the Non-Exportable Markhor Trophy Hunting Permit, the successful hunter must also obtain a “Big Game Shooting License for Markhor” from the Department, which costs Rs. 29,000 (approximately $345).
•A 10% buyer premium will be added to the final bid price. This fee will cover the cost of the auction, with the remainder going to Grand Slam Club/Ovis.
•Bidders must adhere to the online auction’s bidding and payment policies.
•Hunting will be allowed from December 1, 2024, to April 10, 2025, as specified in the permit.
•The permit is non-refundable.

Proceeds Distribution:
Proceeds from the auction, minus the buyer’s premium, will be sent by Grand Slam Club/Ovis to the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Climate Change, Forestry, Environment, and Wildlife Department. In accordance with Pakistani law, 80% of the proceeds will go to the local communities that protect the Markhor, while the remaining 20% will go to the Pakistani government to fund various social and communal projects. This revenue-sharing system not only aids mountain communities in Pakistan but is also a crucial way for hunters to contribute to conservation efforts.

Important Notes:
•Grand Slam Club/Ovis and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK-Pakistan) will not be held responsible for any accidents, illnesses, injuries, or death of the hunter or anyone accompanying them.
•Only hunters with valid permits will be allowed to hunt; proxy hunting is strictly prohibited.
•The winning bidder/hunter/outfitter will be responsible for all logistics, including transportation, lodging, importing a rifle, insurance, visa, outfitter/guide services, etc.
•The hunter is responsible for making their own arrangements to reach the hunting areas in Chitral with their rifles. The Wildlife Department and local communities will provide guidance in the field.
•This is a NON-EXPORTABLE Kashmir Markhor permit.

Conservation Message:
By placing the highest bid, the buyer not only secures the opportunity to hunt one of the world’s most charismatic wild animals but also supports the communities that bear the cost of conserving the Markhor and Ibex populations in the remote regions of the province. Hunting is the #1 Conservation Tool.

Please Note: This is a NON-EXPORTABLE Kashmir Markhor permit. December and January are the most suitable months for trophy hunting. For any questions, please email jason@wildsheep.org.
