• This fully donated print on canvas is by Russian artist Vadim Alekseevich Gorbatov.
• In early 2010, Vadim spent several weeks in Kazakhstan studying local flora and fauna. This was the first time he saw argalis within the wild environment. This beautiful animal has become his favorite painting theme.
• The snow leopard that is hiding behind the stone (did you actually see the snow leopard when you first looked at the photo of this print?) was first supposed to be the central figure. However, Vadim decided to move it backward. He instead depicted two rams fighting during the rut, which he decided would be the best way to show the power and beauty of these animals. The leopard is waiting for the rams to let their guard down and hopes for the easy prey.
• The print measures 39” x 27”, including the frame.
