• This is a 2020 five-day spring black bear hunt on Vancouver
Island (the hunt may be taken in spring 2021; however,
2021 hunt dates would have to be agreeable to the
schedules and cleared in advance with both Fraser River
Outfitters and Tom Miranda).
• Hunter is allowed to take up to two black bears by bow &
arrow or other means.
• Adventure Bowhunter Tom Miranda will be
accompanying the high bidder.
• GSCO counts this black bear toward the Super Ten,
Super 25 and Super Slam and SCI counts this as an island
black bear.
• Hunt is conducted in a remote, pristine concession on the
north end of Vancouver Island.
• This hunt is extremely well-suited and conducive for
stalking black bear and harvesting a trophy of a lifetime.
• Hunters have the option of hunting from a custom
designed live aboard vessel which comfortably sleeps
four (two guides/two clients) or hunting from Fraser River’s
beautiful waterfront main lodge, centrally located within
the concession.
• A combination of smaller vessels, trucks and ATV’s will
be used to access the spring bears as they head out to one
of the many tidal estuaries, meadows or recently logged
off areas to feed on succulent roots, grasses and berry
crops that are in abundance. They can also be found
wandering the beaches at low tide looking for crabs or any
other easy meals that are readily available.
