• The season dates are September 1-December 31, 2020 and the hunt may not be postponed. Units 6 and 10 will be
open for this hunt.
• The arrival/departure point is Albuquerque, New Mexico.
• A licensed Navajo Nation guide is required for this 1 x 1 hunt, and must accompany the hunter any time he or she is
on Navajo Nation lands, including scouting activities prior to the hunt. No hunting companions except immediate family
members are allowed for this hunt, as tribal members are to be responsible for all guiding.
• These rams are considered to be Nelsoni desert bighorns by GSCO and SCI.
• This hunt can be for rifle or bow, and the terrain is definitely conducive for bow hunting and the sheep numbers are high.
• The high bidder must submit a completed Navajo Nation Hunt Application in order for the permit to be issued.
