• These sculptures were donated to GSCO a few
years ago, and the originals of both were carved
in wood; the names of the two woodcarvers
involved are unknown to us.
• As the years went along, the idea was born to
reproduce these unique sculptures in bronze.
• The Altay argali is entitled “Diamond of the Altay.”
• The ibex is entitled “Stately in High Places.”
• A woodworker was commissioned to do bookends to accentuate the magnificence of these sculptures.
• Since they are bookends, we decided to add a collection of books available through GSCO’s online store. These books
are valued at over $400.
• The high bidder will be responsible for all shipping costs.
